Dr. Tammy P. Taylor
Dr. Taylor is presently a Technical Staff Member within the Chemistry Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
 
B.A. in Civil Engineering at New Mexico State University
Masters and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
 
Two years as a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellow at LANL. Research interests include topics related to radiological/nuclear threat reduction and environmental restoration.
Collaboration with LANL Threat Reduction Directorate and Center for Homeland Security staff to develop new program initiatives related to radiological/nuclear countermeasures with a variety of agencies.
 
Conducted activities in support of the LANL Materials Control Project (e.g., performed beryllium risk assessment, prepared worker safety analysis report, conducted research to advance detection capabilities, supported dynamic experimental hydrotesting program) sponsored by the Nuclear Weapons Directorate.
 
Authored over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of environmental remediation, beryllium technology, and radiological decontamination. Member of the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, and the Water Environment Foundation.
