Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer,
HYTEC, Inc.
Robert Kline serves as the leader of HYTEC Sensors and Imaging Group, which is the commercial product subsidiary of HYTEC Incorporated, and also as Vice President of the corporation. During his many years in Austin as a professor (Univ. of Texas), he worked as a consultant on computer control of manufacturing processes (in industry) and of language analysis (for government groups) and as a speaker/educator in power switching systems for power companies and their contractors.
Upon leaving teaching in 1987, after 21 years, his consulting work continued. Projects include the design and implementation of the SDIO (now, BMDO) Technical Information System, leading a joint venture to build an LRIP solid-state-battery manufacturing plant which operated without human touch required and which provided real-time continuous monitoring of toxic and hazardous materials, and forming and leading consortia in flat screen technology, in advanced polymer battery systems, in 3D multichip module fabrication, and in large band gap (esp. uses of diamond in) electronic subsystems.
A member of IEEE, Kline serves on the Technical Policy Committee of IEEE and is periodically called on to meet with senate, house, and congressional personnel to explain advanced engineering concerns in both the biomedical and in the power (generation, storage distribution) fields. His doctoral studies focused on eliciting and analyzing language patterns using computers (U. North Carolina, 1971).
He continues in his work on computer analysis o language, notably of the Bible. Kline served in the US Marines (1964 - 1966) and late consulted with the US Air Force (AFSC), US Arm (CECOM), and the US Navy (NSG7 and NSA) as the government's Senior Researcher in the Tri-Service AI
Program.
